I did it! The month spent writing this novel went by so quickly, it’s amazing. I can’t believe it’s over. I can’t believe I wrote an entire fifty thousand word novel in four weeks! But I did! Now I’m going to spend the weekend on the couch watching movies! No writing!
Nah, I’m lying. I’ll write
But I still might catch a couple movies. Now I can take my time going over the nano book, editing, tightening, adding, ending…sigh. It’s a great feeling, really.
It’s kind of like coming out of a long sleep. I’m waking up, looking around wondering what’s going on with everyone else. What have I missed?:)
Time to get back into the swing of things. I have the TL blog to start paying attention to again. I’m afraid I have nothing planned for Tuesday. Maybe I’ll think of something.
Okay, I’m outta here
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Now on to Christmas!

Last year I found a recipe for punch somewhere, and made it for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. We loved it, it was so refreshing.
Well, I’ve lost it. And though I’ve searched the internet for days, I can’t find it.
I don’t remember what it’s called, where I got it, or even all the ingredients! And I definitely don’t remember how much of each ingredient to put in.
All I remember is you fill a punch bowl with orange juice, some kind of fizzy pop, like Sierra Mist or Sprite, grapefruit juice, half the juice from a jar of cherries (but not the cherries), and that you slice a lemon and a lime and maybe an orange, to float on top. And ice cubes. You add ice cubes.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I’d love to get the actual recipe again…
Happy Thanksgiving!

I posted the ‘ghostly encounters’ blog today at TL. I have no idea what I’m going to post next week. Gah! There’s too much going on right now
Come over and check it out, and leave me a comment about your own enounters…
Also check out part three of Jacquie Rogers four part workshop at TL. She’s really doing a fantastic job with this workshop! come on over
I’ve fallen behind on my NaNo book, by 3,528 words. I was trying to do edits for Puppy Love at the same time, and just fell behind! I’ll do extra each day until I’m caught up. It’s hard to believe we’re already two weeks in.
I decided early on to make this one a YA, and that’s coming along pretty well. Definitely not for young kids though. More for late teens and on.
I’ll post an excerpt here as well as on my NaNoWriMo page soon. It’s definitely turning out to be a really worthwhile experience and I’m very glad I joined.

I’ve gotten a few emails with true stories for my upcoming Tuesday topic on the paranormal; encounters with spirits and such. I hope everyone will stop by and comment, and leave your own stories for us to read. Or you can email them to me and I’ll post them up Tuesday.

Thanksgiving is almost here. I’m gearing up to cook. And I’ll have to clean the house from top to bottom. And then do it again on Christmas. At least on Christmas there are presents!
I’ve got to find my recipe for punch. I made some last year and it was really good and refreshing. I also make tons of cornbread dressing; it’s a big favorite and doesn’t last long. Do you have a favorite recipe for the holidays you’d like to share? I’m always looking for something new to try during the holidays.

I got a couple more stories for the Ghost Sighting Tuesday I’ll be doing at Textyladies next week, but I’m always open for more so please send if you have any
You can email me at janeejones00@gmail.com, send the story by using the contact page on this site, or through Textyladies.
Nano is coming along pretty well, but as I also have a round of edits for Puppy Love to finish, I’m not writing as much as I’d like for the nano story. I can’t wait to get through this round of edits. I’m going to work on that as soon as I finish this post:)
Last night my internet went out, but this morning it was back on, thank goodness. I don’t know what I’d do without the internet!
Jacquie Rogers did part 2 of her plotting workshop at Textyladies Monday, so if you haven’t seen it, you should definitely check it out. It’s really fantastic.

I’m going to be asking people to send me their real life stories in which they’ve had an encounter with a spirit, and if I get enough of them I’ll get the post up at Textyladies on Tuesday the 18th. So if any of you have any true ghost/spirit/ stories, send them to me via the contact page! I’d love to read them, and I’ll post as many as possible. If you know anyone who might be interested, please give them a heads up

Today Jacquie Rogers is doing the first part of her four part plotting workshop at Textyladies. I’m so happy to say that she’s also agreed to become a Textylady and take over Mondays! She’s amazing, and we’d love it if you’d come on over and read her workshop. It’ll be extremely helpful if you’re a writer. She even has handouts!
Every Monday of November she’ll post another part of her workshop, so make sure you mark your calendars
Tomorrow I’ll post R.F. Long’s interview, so you’ll want to stop by for that as well.
~*~
Speaking of great places to go, why not check out Amanda’s blog, where she is posting weekly chapters of her book, Spirits Unveiled, for free! She already has eleven chapters of the book posted, so go on over and enjoy!

Yesterday I started on my NaNoWriMo story. I got over 2000 words, no plotting, no worrying, just writing. It felt good, but even so, I should relax even more. In the back of my mind is the fact that I will want to submit this story to someone, so my inner editor is still bugging me. I have to shut her up with this one.
My heroine is living in a post-apocalyptic world in which a deadly virus wiped out nearly all of the population. She really doesn’t know how many people are gone, or if any of them are left, because in the year since it happened, she hasn’t left her small town.
In her town, she is the only living person. Unable to stand being alone another minute, she prepares to leave her town. With only a distrustful Pit Bull for company, she sets out on her journey to discover what the rest of the world holds.
Born with what appears to be a useless power, she realizes there is more to it than she understands when something amazing happens…
I don’t know where this story will go, or what will happen with my heroine on her journey. I think she will find love, but other than that, I’m as in the dark as you are.
This story was born yesterday, and if stick with the plan, I’ll have finished it at the end of this month-50000 words.
I can’t neglect my other books either, which might be a bit difficult if I’m to stay on track with this new one. We’ll see. I’ll just have to stop being so easily distracted by the internet! Force myself to get in a certain word count before I can chat, send email, check my groups, shop…
And Thanksgiving is coming up.
