Waiting and Daniel Day-Lewis
Posted in Writing by Jane at 4:50 pm |

A few days ago, The Wild Rose Press, Scarlet line, emailed me to ask if I’d be interested in doing a couple of revisions on Beauty’s Beast, the short I’d submitted a few weeks ago, and resubmitting.

I most definitely would! I did the revisions that very day, sent the ms back, and then submitted another short. Now I’m waiting, patiently, to see if they are going to take the books. And yes, I’m very excited!

In the meantime, I sent a novella off to one of my CPs, she’s going to look it over and give me her feedback, and I’ll probably be posting it in my newsletter as a freebie. Maybe two chapters a week. If you want to subscribe to my newsletter, there are sign up links on my website.

I’m also working on another short, and have almost completed it. I’m not sure where I’ll be submitting it just yet. And as always, I’m working on Legend Of Spiritgrove.

I have another CP, as well, and have been doing crits for her, and she has added her critique to Legend. I can’t wait to get that book finished and out there!

Anyway, I’m busy, busy, busy. There are just never enough hours…I also added some of my drawings to my website. More up later.

I watched the SAG awards and thought the show was pretty boring. I couldn’t understand why Johnny Depp’s movie Sweeney Todd was ignored.

The part of the show I loved? When Daniel Day-Lewis won for best actor in a motion picture. I was glad that he won; he’s a phenomenal actor. But what was even better was that he dedicated his win to Heath Ledger. His words were so touching. To see him so moved by an actor who deserved such a mention was just…good. Daniel Day-Lewis is just a classy, wonderful guy.

He really immerses himself into his roles; if you don’t know much about Daniel Day-Lewis, you should read up on him. He’s really interesting.

I can’t resist mentioning how good the man looks. He is hot. :)
